Justin Pitts, Also known as DJ InFerno or "Jay" started his DJing career as a hobby back in 1999.  During this time he was more of a "mix tap" DJ until fall of 1999 when he joined FFA at Brandon Valley High School.  During this time, an annual FFA dance was planned and the DJ company (which is still in business today) cancelled at the last minute.  Jay jumped on board and begun construction on a makeshift lighting system and rented a PA.  Over 500 students showed up for the dance. From that point, Jay was hooked on DJing.
T
hrough out the rest of High School, Jay kept DJing.  At age 16 he threw his first all night rave for his 16th birthday party in Renner, SD  and had an attendance of over 150+ friends and acquaintances.  From there, he started working odd jobs to raise enough money to buy his very first audio system. Through out his entire high school career, he worked at a local resturant and DJ on weekends.  He mainly performed for friends birthday parties, and family events, but he never thought it would go beyond that.

In 2001, Jay graduated from high school and went to college up at SDSU in Brookings, SD.  With in weeks, he was at it again.  Nearly every weekend he was out Djing accross Brookings and Madison area Djing private house parties, serority/fraternity dances, birthday parties and fund raisers.  In 2003 Jay started to work for a mobile entertainment company in Brookings, SD and entered the wedding scene.  For the entire summer, Jay performed through the entire Midwest during weekends and continued with the company until the winter season of 2005.

In Spring of 2005 at a local house party that Jay was DJing at, Jay was approached by a local wedding company to work for them.  With promises of more income and newer equipment, Jay left for Sioux Falls.  For the entire summer of 2005, Jay traveled again across the Midwest entertaining thousands.  In most cases he would perform 2 to 3 times a week.  With in weeks of coming to Sioux Falls, Jay was now training many of the newer DJ's and many of them are still in the industry today such as DJ AT and DJ Skyy.

In Fall of 2005, Jay joined WOW! Entertainment of Sioux Falls, with a full year of bookings for 2005.  As the year continued on, Coconut Joe's reopened as Lava Lounge and WOW! Entertainment won the contract for a resident DJ, thus DJ "Jay InFerno" name was given to him becoming Lava Lounge's Resident DJ.  DJ InFerno was for the second time seen in the night club scene and was quick to be known across Sioux Falls as such.  However, after a long drawn out legal battle from his previous employer, DJ InFerno was ordered not to DJ with in a 55 mile radius of Sioux Falls.   Thus, DJ Royski became the resident DJ for the following 6 months until Lava Lounge Bar and Grill closed its doors for good.

In early 2007 Jay InFerno continued to DJ through out the mid west.  In October 2007, Jay was offered a position as a resident DJ at one of Sioux Falls Hottest night club, Borrowed Bucks Road House.  From then on he continued to fine tune his skills as a DJ and became the ladies night resident DJ every Thursday night at Bucks.  Time flew on and in 2008 Jay decided to open his own business called Hot Beat Productions.  Which was primarily a Audio/lighting equipment company and also a wedding DJ Service.  in late 2010 Jay reorganized the company and thus Sioux Falls DJ Squad was formed. During that time he hired 4 employees and subcontracted through other companies to handle over flow and double bookings on premium dates.
Now 2012 is here and DJ "Jay" InFerno is still at it.  Sioux Falls DJ Squad has grown to 8 highly talented DJ's to bring a whole new and unique approach to DJing.  With digital turntables, and high energy entertainment, Jay has created a whole new league of entertainers called Sioux Falls DJ Squad.
